#149 – Hospitality Meets Rosa Brough – Disrupting Hospitality Media

What a vibrant and energetic chat I have for you this week as we delve into a little corner of hospitality that you may not have even considered as part of the industry.

I chat to Rosa Brough, Founder & Creative Director behind 7 Fifty – an un-conventional video production agency that specialises in content for the hospitality industry.

I had the joy of working with Rosa earlier this year at HRC, she was a livewire then and she is livewire throughout our chat.

We cover off:-

  • Media and Content creation
  • Taking your job seriously
  • Equipment v Content
  • Work experience & interns
  • Getting stars to the toilet
  • Variety & Surprise
  • Getting into Food TV
  • Great British Menu
  • Moving to Bristol
  • The benefits of taking your time
  • Starting up her own business
  • Full time meals
  • Choose Hospitality
  • HRC
  • People
  • The funny stuff that happens
  • The Hairy Bikers
  • Social Media

And so much more. Rosa is ridiculously passionate about her craft and that comes through effortlessly throughout our chat and what’s more, if you’ve got even a trickle of interest in film and media, there are so many amazing takeaways for you here. Not only that but I hope this serves as another reminder of the vast variety of opportunity that exists in Hospitality!.

Enjoy!

Bio

Rosa spent over a decade working in broadcast television, producing a whole heap of prime-time series for the BBC and Channel 4. She spent years working with the most recognisable faces in the industry, like Tom Kerridge, Gordon Ramsey, The Hairy Bikers and Nadiya Hussain.

She made popular shows like GREAT BRITISH MENU, BEST HOME COOK, and KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, as well as online digital campaigns like FULLTIME MEALS with Marcus Rashford & Tom Kerridge.

So it’s fair to say she knows a thing or two about food and how to film it.
